The Defined Benefit Section of the Plan is closed to new entrants and future accrual ceased on 12 March 2011.  New employees or current employees who want to join the Plan are generally invited to join the money purchase or DC Section of the Plan – DC Choice.

An employed deferred member is a member of the Plan who was in DB Pensionable Employment on 12 March 2011 and has been employed continuously by the Company since that date and is still employed by the Company.

A deferred member is a member of the Plan who has left pensionable service, is entitled to benefits from the Plan and is not yet receiving retirement benefits from the Plan.

A pensioner is a member of the Plan who is receiving pension payments on a regular basis from the Plan.
