Join the Great Pension Treasure Hunt

23/10/2023

The clocks go back on Sunday 29th October, so why not use the extra hour to trace any missing pensions you may have?

With people changing jobs more frequently these days, it’s all too easy to lose track of a workplace pension pot. In fact, it’s estimated that there could be about 2.8 million lost or forgotten pension pots out there, worth an average of £9,500 each – over £26.6 billion in total.

National Pension Tracing Day is a campaign launched in 2021 by Punter Southall and is now supported by some of the largest UK pension providers, including Legal & General. There have been some remarkable stories since then of people finding their lost pension pots: one lucky person tracked down pensions worth £80,000, while another managed to retire seven years earlier than they’d planned.
